📊 League Scoring & Playoffs

Regular Season

Each match = 6 games.

Scoring: 1 point per game won.

Standings are determined by:

  • Game Win %
  • Head-to-Head
  • Average Point Differential

➡️ The top 4 teams advance to the championships in the final week.

⚠️ Important: The total number of games won across the season may be used as a tiebreaker for playoff standings. Even if a team reaches 4 wins early, all 6 games must be played.

Playoffs: DATE TBD

Matches = 6 games, same as regular season.

To advance, a team must win a majority of games in the match.

Order of Play

Round 1

  • Team 1 vs Team 4
  • Team 2 vs Team 3

Round 2

  • Gold Medal Match
  • Bronze Medal Match

If both teams split 3–3, a Dreambreaker will determine the winner.

🔥 What’s a Dreambreaker?

A Dreambreaker is a singles-style tiebreaker that comes into play when teams tie 3–3 in the playoffs. It’s fast-paced, exciting, and keeps everyone on court!

How It Works:

  • One player from each team plays rock, paper, scissors — winner chooses advantage.
  • The losing team sets their lineup first.
  • The winning team then sets their lineup, with the advantage of knowing the order.

Gameplay:

  • Played to 21 points (win by 1) using singles rules.
  • Each player plays 4 points in a row before rotating.
  • Teams continue to rotate through their lineup until one reaches 21.

COURT RULES

  • Standard USA Pickleball rules apply unless otherwise noted.
  • No coaching during games.
  • Line calls are made in good faith by players; in social leagues, "benefit of the doubt (no fault)" goes to the opponent.
  • Foot Faults:
  • A foot fault occurs if the server steps on or over the baseline or sideline during the serve.
  • Players are responsible for calling foot faults on their own teams.
  • The receiving team may call a foot fault immediately if observed.
  • If there's disagreement, replay the point or give the benefit of the doubt (no fault).

RULES FOR SUBBING:

  • Teams are allowed to sub in players that were not placed on the final roster at the beginning of the season. These subs should be sent to the league commissioner no later than the morning of your league.
  • The subs must follow the DUPR Min/Max designations for your league.
  • Each sub will pay $15/week that they sub.

IF SUBS ARE NEEDED FOR FINALS WEEK…

  • All subs must be within the designated DUPR maximum and minimum for the league.
  • All subs must have played in at least 2 in-season matches (6 games total played).
